The Philadelphia
Workforce Development Corporation serves as the administrator to the City
of Philadelphia's workforce development initiative, and offers the
following services to employers:
- Recruit
and refer candidates according to your staffing needs.
- Provide
support services for new hires to minimize employer turnover.
- We offer
customized training in which we work collaboratively to develop
training programs geared toward teaching job-specific skills necessary
to do the job. Employers will also receive 100% reimbursement of
reasonable costs for the classroom training.
- On-the-Job
training guarantees that you gain an employee that you have trained to
your specifications and - depending on the complexity of the job -
receive up to 50% of the trainees wages until the individual is fully
trained.
- The Employment Connection
offers a fee-based testing service gives employers an efficient,
reliable, and aptitude-related employee through validated tests that
reveal critical attributes.
